What is a Baby Dedication?

“Teach your children to choose the right path, and when they are older, they will remain upon it.”   Proverbs 22:6

It is our tradition to follow the example of many families in the Bible, including Jesus’ family, and dedicate our children to God when they are born.  The dedication is a symbol of choosing to raise our children to know and follow Jesus, and it’s a way of welcoming them into the larger family of Christian Assembly.  Together, with parents, we want to do all we can as a community to ensure that our little ones grow up in a church where they know they are loved, where they know the good news of Jesus and where they know they can grow to be all that God has planned for them to be.

Families and friends are welcome to join you in the service when you dedicate your child.  Cameras are welcome as well.  We encourage you to make the moment special and memorable for you and your family.

To Dedicate Your Baby:

  1. Your baby must be less than 1 year old.  If you have adopted a child and would like to participate in the dedications, please contact us at: 323-255-2516.
  2. Click here to fill out a Baby Dedication Form
  3. Once your request is turned in, a CA staff member will contact you to confirm the Dedication.
  4. You will be receiving a letter explaining more of what a Baby Dedication means for you and your child.

Note:  We are able to accommodate 5 families per service, so we ask that forms are submitted as soon as possible.

We dedicate babies during our weekend services. Please submit your request form at least two weeks prior to the date of the dedication. (You can submit your form as early as you’d like) For more information about baby dedications email us at kids@cachurch.com

We love babies and celebrate with parents who come to dedicate their little ones. Dedication is the commitment of parents to raise their children to know and follow Jesus Christ. If this is your pledge, then we are honored to be a part of this experience with you!

Please Note: We cannot guarantee which pastor from our staff will do your baby dedication. We are confident that each member of our pastoral staff is equipped to perform your baby dedication and will be excited to celebrate with you for this special occasion.

Kingdom Prayer

God has invited each of us into His mission to bring hope, healing, and salvation to the world. At Christian Assembly, we believe in the power of prayer to advance God’s Kingdom, not just in our own neighborhoods, but across the globe. That’s why we created the Kingdom Prayer Guide — a practical and powerful resource to help you pray with purpose.

Whether you're a new believer or have walked with Jesus for years, this guide equips you to:

  • Pray for your city and its unique needs, from homelessness to foster care.
  • Live missionally, by asking God to use you in your everyday relationships and settings.
  • Lift up Kingdom partners and ministries doing incredible work both locally and internationally.
  • Support the persecuted church, where believers face danger for their faith.
  • Intercede for unreached people groups, so that every nation may come to know Jesus.

With over 50 Kingdom partnerships across 29 countries, Christian Assembly is committed to seeing lives transformed through the love of Christ. From church plants in Los Angeles to anti-trafficking efforts in Southeast Asia, your prayers truly make a difference.

We invite you to set aside time to use this guide in your personal prayer life, with your family, or in your Life Group. By doing so, you become part of a global movement of believers committed to seeing God's Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven.

You can download the full Kingdom Prayer Guide here and join us in this meaningful mission of prayer. Every prayer matters. Every name, city, and nation on these pages represents real people who are loved by God and in need of His grace.

Let’s pray big prayers for a big God who is always at work. Let’s pray Kingdom prayers.
