Grocery Benevolence

As part of our ongoing response to this current crisis, we have formed the Grocery Benevolence Fund for those who call Christian Assembly home. This fund is designed to help those who are a part of CA who need help affording groceries and essential supplies (disinfectants, infant formula, etc.) due to a recent income or job loss.   No one will be able to purchase alcohol or cigarettes with the funds.

Who is eligible for this?
Access to this fund is currently being made available only to people who are within our CA database (which is several thousands of households in the area).  From prayer and God’s Word, we believe the Lord is asking us to meet the needs of those within the church community first (see Acts 4:34-35; Galatians 6:10).  In addition to being part of Christian Assembly, to be eligible you must also have had a recent income or job loss which has created a legitimate need for help.  If you need help, we invite you to apply. We also want you to know that there is no shame in applying. It can be difficult to ask for help, but this is a crisis that calls for our church family to help one another.

How do I apply for help? 
Please click here to access the application. After filling out the application, please submit via email by clicking here.  If needed, you can sign electronically by typing your name. We will respond to requests as quickly as we can.  There is no shame in needing help. Your application will be confidential apart from the staff members who have been assigned to process the requests.  The funds will be distributed by gift cards to selected local grocery stores.

Can I give money to support this new effort? 
If you would like to support this effort financially, please simply give to our general offering which is where the money will come from to meet the incoming needs.  You can do that online through our website by clicking here.
